David Schmidt

David Schmidt is from Williamsburg, Virginia. Growing up, he spent summers acting out the lives of 18th-Century American children in Colonial Williamsburg and excavating the archaeological dig at Historic Jamestowne -- both sites within minutes of his childhood home. The Virginia Peninsula and its wealth of historic sites gave David a love for American History that just won’t die.

After graduating from Dartmouth College in 2009 with a degree in History, David looked for an opportunity to tell the American story to the widest possible audience. He found that in an internship with Florentine Films. And after three months contributing where he could with The Tenth Inning, Prohibition, and The Dust Bowl, David signed on full-time as an apprentice editor for the upcoming Roosevelts film project. It’s a dream, and he can’t believe his luck.
