A Weekend Garden

Every week our garden is different. I’m the labor force: there’s always something to do. It usually involves weeding or pruning. It’s never ending and sometimes hard to appreciate because it looks back at us accusingly. Weeding I only like (sort of) after the fact. Pruning is very satisfying, taking me back to Japan where they prune to show off shapes and color. Photographing the garden makes me look at it more carefully and appreciate it more.
