As a cinematographer, I’ve shot the sheer cliffs of Yellowstone, Day of the Dead festivities in San Antonio, country music stars in Kentucky, handball players in Miami Beach and for Albert Maysles I put on rollerblades to film Christo’s Gates in Central Park. I’ve lit and photographed celebrities like Arthur Miller and Brendan Gill, Medal of Honor recipients, firefighters, farmers, children of divorce, and people on the street; scripted narratives and cinema verité.
