After graduating with a degree in biology from Mount Holyoke College, Camilla Rockwell became friends with a student at nearby Hampshire College whose passion for history and filmmaking profoundly influenced everyone around him. For fourteen years in various capacities Camilla worked closely with Ken Burns during the growth and development of Florentine Films, serving as Production Associate on The Shakers and Huey Long, Associate Producer on Congress, Thomas Hart Benton, Empire of the Air and The Civil War, Production Manager on Baseball and Co-Producer, with Ken Burns, on Thomas Jefferson.

The mother of two grown sons, she now lives with her husband in Burlington, Vermont where, in addition to her work as freelance film producer, she promotes personal and professional creativity by producing workshops in dance and rites of passage. When not dancing, hiking or doing yoga, she can often be found kayaking on Lake Champlain.
