We went to the Lower Eastside yesterday to check out the new galleries popping up there. It’s like Chelsea years ago, changing fast. Lots of hip, small restaurants, boutiques, galleries taking over the last shmata stores. There are even some ground floor spaces that are nothing more than dead storage, not for long.
